Hope everyone had a good Canada Day if you were celebrating. If maple syrup was involved, we support that. This is the first of a new kind of lumedot update. Going forward, we will use changelog posts to share what is new, what improved, what is coming next, and how readers, authors, publishers, and bookclubs can get involved earlier. The ebook reader and audiobook player have both been getting a lot of work. The ebook reader now has cleaner pages, better chapter navigation, and improved layouts across phone and desktop.
The audiobook player now includes a mini player, so you can keep listening while moving around lumedot. The full audiobook player has also been cleaned up with smoother playback, better progress handling, chapter controls, and improved layouts across phone and desktop.

We opened lumedot Bookclub Grants. If you are hosting a bookclub meetup, reading night, launch discussion, campus gathering, community reading circle, or local literary event, you can apply for support. The grants are meant to help with practical things like books, coffee, snacks, printed materials, venue costs, accessibility support, or small event supplies. We are shaping that experience now, especially with early authors, publishers, and readers who want to help test what should come first. • Founding Author and Publisher Program We are opening a founding author and publisher path for people who want early access, launch support, and a closer role in shaping the native lumedot experience before it becomes public. Founding authors and publishers can get: - Early access to new tools - First look at the native app experience - Input on reader, audiobook, and publisher workflows - Support launching ebooks and audiobooks - Better visibility during early platform rollouts - Founding-period perks where available If you are an author or publisher and want to bring books onto lumedot, you can start through opus.lumedot.com.
